The Project
Cumulus IoT was used as part of a larger bespoke system to monitor equipment in the mining industry.
Advantages
By monitoring various sensors, including but not limited too accelerometer, pressure and temperature sensors, and Cumulus IoT providing the integration of the data to the cloud in a meaningful way, clients can now obtain the most up to date status of the machine with just a few mouth clicks in the office.
Requirements
With large and expensive machinery operating on the mine site, current operations means a service technician is required to physically go and check if machines require servicing. This can involve both staff or contractors travelling to the mine site every few months.
Cost Savings
The cost savings in time spent travelling, automating manual human processes will reap the company a significant return on investment.
